Foundations in Oil Painting
With the beauty of the earth as our visual guide, you will learn the foundations of all creative arts; mindfulness in drawing, composition and color mastery as well as a path to discover your unique creative style and meaningful expression. Together we will create 4 beautiful paintings and 8 painted studies, guided through unfolding video lessons in each creative step with various oil painting techniques and practices. You will learn a 7 step process that will help you to create your art with consistency and confidence.
Each student will choose or create their own reference photos and be guided to create from their joy and inspiration. When this course is complete you will have a solid foundation for all your art endeavors, a creative practice of mindfulness and the freedom to enjoy drawing and painting with beauty, skill and meaning.

After seeing the amazing art that kids create, for years adults asked me if they could take the kids classes. And now you can! This amazing creative adventure in multimedia fine art will delight and surprise you as you discover your calm and awaken the creative potential that is inborn in you. I teach adults and kids the same fine art skills as we explore all the elements of art. Each student will choose their own subject matter and I provide guidance to learn to see and create with originality and imagination using their very own vision, hearts and hands.

While exploring the wonders of the earth as inspiration
students will learn a variety of techniques using chalk pastel, oil pastel, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic paint, latex paint, graphite and colored pencil, charcoal, clay, canvas, wood, mosaic, marbling, mixed media and organic found objects. If you are creating with children, you will learn a unique approach for creating with them to maximize their potential and skill while giving them freedom to choose their interests and preserve the joy of their imagination.
